Education
Following the completion of his secondary school education, Mr Ibu gained admission to the College of Education in Yola. Unfortunately, he was forced to abandon his studies there due to financial limitations. Undeterred by this setback, he subsequently pursued further education at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu, where he embarked on a journey towards obtaining a degree.
Cause of Death
Mr. Ibu passed on at 62 years old. According to multiple reports from sources close to him, the veteran comedian passed away at Evercare hospital.
Osun Defender had in December 2023 reported that Mr Ibu underwent another leg amputation and was barely able to talk, as the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) revealed, while calling for prayers and support for the veteran.
Osun Defender had in November reported that the family of Mr. Ibu revealed that the actor had undergone seven surgeries but to keep his hope of staying alive, one of his legs was amputated.
The family had said the actor successfully underwent five surgeries and would be flown abroad for further treatment before he finally passed on.
