Mutfwang Dumps PDP For APC

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced that Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has moved from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress.

The announcement was made by APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, also from Plateau State, during the party’s 14th National Caucus meeting at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

Yilwatda noted that with Governor Mutfwang’s defection, APC now controls all the states in the North Central region.

It would be recalled that Mr Istifanus Nwansat, the governor’s Political Adviser, told newsmen on Monday in Abuja that Muftwang’s decision was driven by the chaos within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has made the platform unsuitable for political actors.

Nwansat explained that the move would also align the governor with President Bola Tinubu’s political and governance agenda.
