Dr Afolabi, however, said the hospital needs some modern equipment and more staff, among other things, to be able to perform optimally.
Responding, Governor Adeleke promised to look into the request of the management with a view to granting the them as soon as possible.
“On the shortage of staff, I want to assure you that we will look into it. We don’t want to recruit people we won’t be able to pay their salary. So, we will study the situation and come up with a way to go about it but I can assure you we will recruit more staff.
“On the requests by the management, I’m directing the Commissioner for Health and the Board Chairman of the hospital to come up with the comprehensive list of your request and it shall be looked into,” the governor said.
