The State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC Osun, Hon Rasaq Salinsile has congratulated the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on winning the Nigeria and Africa Development Indicators Monitoring (NADIM) Foundation 2018 outstanding leadership awards.
Salinsile in a statement noted Aregbesola getting nine NADIM 2018 outstanding awards is a reflection of the provision of purposeful leadership and political will that testified to good governance in the state of Osun under his leadership.
The APC party scribe in the state said the nine awards for being first Overall Best State Development in Nigeria, Second Best State in percentage of births delivered in health facilities, third best State in percentage of women employed, third Best State in Population with Improved Drinking Water, among other awards is a reflection of the giant strides achieved by Ogbeni Aregbesola in office as Governor.
He maintained that the Minister’s efforts in women empowerment, youth empowerment and other poverty eradication measures which placed the state as the 2nd least miserable state which guaranteed security and safety in the State.
According to NADIM, the achievements of Aregebsola as Governor of State of Osun between 2010 and 2018 which were critically analysed based on academic research, findings and evaluation Salinsile posited earned him the honour.
The immediate past Chief of Staff to the Osun governor urged the Minister to do more in his new role of making Nigeria’s internal security more vibrant and work for the citizenry.
