Naira Abuse: Bobrisky Set To Regain Freedom

Idris Okunneye, the well-known and controversial Nigerian crossdresser known as Bobrisky, is reportedly scheduled for release from jail on August 5.

Osun Defender reports that Bobrisky is currently serving a six-month prison sentence for abusing naira notes, as handed down by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 12, 2024.

According to celebrity journalist, Stella Dimoko Korkus, Bobrisky, who will be released on Monday, is literally not in jail as reported as he is enjoying some privileges.

She wrote via her Instagram page, “Cross-dresser Idris Olarewaju Oduneye who was jailed for six months in March(without option of fine) for abusing Nigeria’s Naira, will be released from Jail on August 5, 2024.

“Its not as if he’s really in Jail sef cos he has been enjoying internet time and call time and has not been denied of anything except that he cannot come out of where he is.”
