Naira Abuse: Portable Begs EFCC For Forgiveness
Controversial artist, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has openly appealed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to forgive him for spraying money on his fans.
Osun Defender reports that his plea is coming after the six-month jail sentence handed down to crossdresser Okuneye Idris, also known as Bobrisky, for Naira Mutilation offence.
Recall that Portable once declared he gave his followers almost N2 million daily in spray paint.
He explained in a recent live chat that his actions bring kindness to people.
However, while appearing fearful of the consequences following footage showing him splattering cash, he pleaded for forgiveness from the government and the EFCC.
Portable announced that he would never engage in spraying money as he encouraged his supporters to open bank accounts, adding that he would only make transfers.
He said, “I didn’t deface the Naira, I help a lot of people, after God na government, please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money, no more spraying of money.”
