NASFAT Chief Missioner Invited To Jimmy Carter’s Lying-In-State

In a remarkable recognition of global interfaith harmony and human rights advocacy, the Chief Missioner of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Imam Maroofdeen Abdul-Azeez Onike, has received an invitation to attend the lying-in-state of former United States President Jimmy Carter.

The event is scheduled to hold on January 8 at the Capitol Rotunda in Washington D.C.

This rare honour, extended by the Carter family, acknowledges Imam Onike’s pivotal contributions to the promotion of peace and human dignity—values deeply cherished and championed by the late President Carter during his lifetime.

Imam Onike and his wife, Alhaja Sadiat Onike Abdul-Azeez, are set to represent NASFAT at this solemn occasion.

In a statement issued by NASFAT on Thursday, the organisation described the invitation as a testament to the global impact of the society under Imam Onike’s visionary leadership.

According to the statement, “This recognition underscores NASFAT’s unwavering commitment to fostering societal progress, promoting interfaith dialogue, and upholding human dignity.”

The late Jimmy Carter, who served as the 39th President of the United States, is widely celebrated for his relentless pursuit of peace and democracy.

His legacy as a human rights advocate and a global symbol of compassion continues to inspire millions around the world.
