THE Nigerian Correctional Service has put in place a two-day Controller-General of Corrections retreat.
Themed, ‘The Nigerian Correctional Service: Meeting the Public Expectations’, the retreat will be declared opened by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Monday, June 27.
According to a letter signed by the Controller General of Corrections, Aliru Nababa, the retreat is aimed at reviewing and reflecting the service’s performance, including challenges in recent times.
“Moreover, the retreat is designed to acquaint the NIGERIA correctional Service management and staff with the outcome of the ministerial retreat, held in Ilorin, Kwara State in 2021, as well as setting the service’s five-year strategic plans”, said Nababa.
The retreat holds between on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28, in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
