Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have foiled attempts by drug cartels to capitalise on recent protests to expand their activities.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in videos shared on X.com on Sunday.
In the videos, officials of the agency were seen unwrapping buddles of illicit drugs concealed in African wrappers and spare parts.
According to Babafemi, the cartels had planned to take advantage of the recent #EndBadGovernance protests to move their “markets” across land, sea, and air.
