NECO Releases 2025 BECE Results (See How To Check Yours)
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination results.
According to a statement on Wednesday by Azeez Sani, the Acting Director of Public Affairs of the examination body, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination in 12 subjects.
The examination, which commenced on May 12, 2025, was concluded on May 23, 2025.
“The results of the examination were released following the successful conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee Meeting held at the Council’s Headquarters in Minna.
“During the meeting, the chairperson of the Award Committee, Dr. (Mrs) Folake David, Director, Basic Education, Federal Ministry of Education, expressed satisfaction with the processes leading to the successful release of the results.
“The Award Committee Meeting was also attended by some Secondary School Principals from across the Country as well as NECO Management.
“Meanwhile, the Award Committee has approved the Date and Timetable for the 2025 BECE Re-sit.
“The Re-sit examination is scheduled to hold on 23rd and 24th July 2025 for Mathematics and English Studies.”
How To Check NECO BECE Results 2024
Step 1: Prepare Your Device
Ensure your laptop or mobile device is connected to the internet. Open your preferred web browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.).
Step 2: Visit the NECO Results Portal
In the address bar, type the following URL: https://results.neco.gov.ng.
Step 3: Select Examination Details
On the NECO results portal, you’ll need to select your examination type and year. For BECE results, choose “BECE” as the examination type and “2024” as the examination year.
Step 4: Enter Your Token and Registration Number
You’ll need a token to access your results. If you already have a token, enter the token number in the designated field. If not, you can purchase one directly from the portal.
Next, enter your BECE registration number in the appropriate field.
Step 5: Check Your Results
Once you’ve entered all the required details, click on the “Check My Result” button. Your NECO BECE result will be displayed on the screen. You can also choose to print or email your results for future reference.
