New Time Magazine Cover Shows Trump Looking Down At A Crying Immigrant Child

Time magazine has revealed in its new cover the indifferent attitude of US President Donald Trump, with a picture of  Trump staring down menacingly at a crying immigrant child.

The photo of the crying child went viral after it was revealed that the child’s tears were as a result of watching her mother get searched at the US border.  The now iconic photo of the sobbing child was taken recently by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer John Moore. Moore told the magazine he had to “stop and take deep breaths” after capturing the image of a two-year-old Honduran girl crying for her mother after they were stopped in McAllen, Texas, by Border Patrol agents.

“As a father myself, it was very difficult for me to see these families detained, knowing that they would soon be split up,” Moore told Getty’s blog, Foto . “I could see on their faces that they had no idea what was about to happen.”

Time Magazine’s latest magazine cover takes a shot at President Donald Trump’s border policy and comes one week after Trump wondered if he would be on the magazine’s cover after the North Korea summit in Singapore.
