Obasanjo Replies To Bamaiyi’s Allegations

Former President OIusegun Obasanjo has faulted the claim by a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, that he (Obasanjo) planned to kill the former army chief.
Wondering why he would want to kill Bamaiyi, Obasanjo stated that his government between 1999 and 2007 arrested the former COAS to clear his name for allegedly killing other people during the reign of military dictator, Gen Sani Abacha.

Militants Kill Army Captain, 4 Policemen In Lagos
An army captain and fiur policemen were between late Saturday and early Sunday, killed by suspected militants who invaded Ola Inu Kan area of Isawo, Ikorodu, in Lagos State.
An unidentified resident of Isawo was also killed in the gun duel between the militants and the security operatives.

Gun-wielding militants invaded Ishawo area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, and killed an Army captain, who led the Joint Task Force on Anti-Militancy, and four policemen.
