Security Agents Comb Site In New Push Against Magu

A fresh plot for the removal of Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Magu is being hatched.

Some lobbyists comprising “powerful” citizens have allegedly visited London with names of two likely candidates to succeed Magu, The Nation learnt.

Budget Paddding: EFCC Begins Probe Of Dogara, Others To Grill Jibrin

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has invited a former Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Mr Abdulmumin Jibrin, to clarify allegations that the speaker Yakubu Dogara, and three other principal officers “padded” the 2016 budget in excess of #40bn.

The others are the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Yussuff Lasun, the Chief Whip, Mr. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, and the Minority Leader, Mr. Leo Ogor.

United States Of America Senators, Cory Booker and Rand Paul, have opposed sale of America fighter jets, to aid Nigeria’s war against Boko Haram.

The Senators said Nigerian must first investigate cases of alleged human rights abuses in the North East before sealing a deal to buy the fighter jets from the US.
