16 Northern Group Give Igbo Oct.1 To Vacate Region

Sixteen northern youth groups rose from a joint meeting in Kaduna yesterday to give Igbo residing in their states up to October 1, 2017 to vacate the region.

This came days after the shutting down of major towns in the South East on May 30, 2017 as part of the campaign by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for the actualization of Biafra Republic.

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement investigating the alleged #17 billion pre-shipment contracts scam has uncovered that one of the contracting firms engaged by the Federal Ministry of Finance paid #20,000 as tax to the federal government on a contract of $120 million it won.

Robbers Attack Banks

Dare devil armed robbers yesterday stormed a Skye Bank branch directly located opposition Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State and killed four policemen.

Also, the robbers reportedly shot a yet-to-be-identified student of the university in the leg. The student was about to withdraw money from the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in the bank when the bandits stormed the area.
