NFF, FIFA Celebrate Former Super Eagles Captain Okocha At 45

The Nigeria Football Federation and FIFA have sent out a remarkable birthday wishes to former Super Eagles captain, Austine Jay Jay Okocha on his 45th birthday celebration.

“Happy birthday to the one and only football magician @IAmOkocha. Thank you for the memories and have a good one. ,” reads a tweet on the NFF Twitter handle.

Similarly, the Federation of International Football Federation, (FIFA) also congratulated the former midfielder and his birthday mates on their special day.

#HBD to @AnderHerrera (29), Giorgio @chiellini (34), @IAmOkocha & @borgetti58 (45), Freddy Rincon (52) & Morten Olsen (69),” FIFA tweeted on Tuesday.

Okocha, one of the greatest players to have represented Nigeria, was capped 75 times by the country and scored 14 times.

He was a member of the Super Eagles side that conquered the continent at the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia.

The midfield maestro also represented Nigeria at three World Cups and captained the Super Eagles at Japan/Korea 2002 FIFA World Cup.
