NGO Rescues 5-Year-Old Girl After Alleged Physical Abuse By Aunt
A Non-Governmental Organisation, Monsurat Ajoke Foundation, has rescued a 5-year-old girl (name withheld) who was allegedly abused physically by her aunt.
The little girl was said to have suffered continued emotional, verbal and physical abuse from the aunt, a resident of Owode-Ede area of Osun.
The teenager had since been taken to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention.
A statement by the Founder/Executive Director of the foundation, Monsurat Ibrahim, stated that the girl was found with several bruises and injuries all over her body when she was picked up.
It was gathered that a teacher at the school where the teenager is having her holiday coaching discovered the bruise and injuries.
The sister, according to sources, has been arrested and taken to Zone XI Police Headquarters, Osogbo.
