The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has named a robust 32-man squad for the second phase of the Super Eagles B training camp ahead of the much-anticipated two-legged CHAN qualifying clash against archrivals Ghana in December.
With the stakes high, the NFF extended invitations to a mix of seasoned professionals and promising talent from the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
Remo Stars’ shot-stopper Kayode Bankole, Lobi Stars’ Suur Kumaga, and Rivers United’s Ubong Friday are among the latest inclusions. Notable additions also include Ossu Martin, experienced winger Bernard Ovoke, Aniekeme Okon, and Dominion Ohaka, who has previously shone for Nigeria’s U-23 team and Water FC.
The squad also welcomes three strong players from Kano Pillars—Abiam Nelson, Aminu Adams, and Sudais Alibaba—bringing more depth to the Super Eagles B roster.
The players are expected to arrive at the training camp for an intensive preparation phase under the guidance of coaches Fidelis Ikechukwu and Daniel Amokachi, with technical director Augustine Eguavoen temporarily on assignment abroad.
The team started their camp last Wednesday, before being released to fulfill club obligations in the NPFL over the weekend.

During the short two-day training session, the players showed impressive form, earning praise from Eguavoen, who was visibly pleased with their technical skills.
“Very impressive, only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good,” he said, adding that the real challenge now is to harmonize the players from different clubs into a cohesive unit.
“We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit.”
The first leg of the CHAN qualifier will see Ghana hosting Nigeria between December 20th and 22nd, with the second leg set to take place in Nigeria a week later.
The winner over the two legs will secure an automatic spot in the 2025 CHAN tournament, to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The Super Eagles B squad will be looking to fine-tune their strategies in the coming weeks as they aim to overcome their West African rivals and secure a place on the continental stage.
