Nigeria’s crude oil production has fallen from two million barrels per day to about 1.27 million bpd, according to the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
OPEC’s newly released monthly report also reveals that Nigeria recorded the highest decline in production.
The decline had been attributed to the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) Limited’s shut down of the Bonga field for maintenance.
According to SNEPCo, production from the field is expected to resume at the conclusion of the exercise this month.
