Nigerian-Born Dauda Wins Mr Olympia 2024
Nigerian-born Samson Dauda has been crowned Mr Olympia 2024, taking home a record-breaking $600,000 prize, equivalent to over N1 billion.
Representing the United Kingdom, Dauda outshone top contenders at the 60th edition of the competition held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the United States.
Dauda’s decade-long journey in bodybuilding began in 2014 when he started his career at just 22 years old.
After narrowly missing the top spot last year, finishing third, he surpassed notable competitors like Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford to claim the title.
The Mr. Olympia competition, named after Eugen Sandow, considered the father of modern bodybuilding, brought together the most muscular men and women in the world.

While there are no official silver or bronze medals for second and third place, runners-up received cash prizes.
