Nigerians Blast APC Scribe, Ajibola Basiru Over ‘Ignorant’ Comments Against Atiku
Scores of Nigerians have taken to the X platform to condemn the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru over his recent comments against the former Vice President and the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 Presidential Election, Atiku Abubakar.
Earlier, Abubakar had described as unusual the absence of President Tinubu and his deputy, Shettima, from the country at the same time, especially now that the nation is faced with daunting challenges.
Atiku said he has been inundated by reports of the absence of the President and Vice President from the country. In a post on his X handle on Monday, Atiku said one might be right to assume that the country is on autopilot.
He wrote; “I have been inundated by reports of the absence of the president and vice president from the country. It is unprecedented that the two leaders will be absent from the country at the same time, especially now that the nation is faced with daunting challenges. The question that readily comes to mind is who is in charge of government at this point, or is it right to assume that we are on autopilot?.”

Reacting to this via his X handle, Senator Basiru said he “don’t believe that Abubakar could be so ignorant of working of government.”
He wrote; ” I don’t believe a former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar, could be so ignorant of working of government or is it electoral loss bitterness that is at work?”
However, scores of Nigerians have taken to their X handle to blast the APC scribe over his ‘Ignorant’ comment usage against Atiku.
See reactions below;
@ChiefOfStaffX: The fact that this kind of head ever made it to the upper chamber of our National Assembly is an indictment on us as a people.
@TheBaba_D: The type of people that parade themselves as leaders in Nigeria. So classless, tacky, uncouth, uncultured, uncivilized, inexperienced, deceptive and irresponsibly servile.
@Olasunkanmiiiii: In a country where the citizens are largely reasonable and understand the pros and cons of governance, someone like you can never be a council leader. You capitalised on the gullibility of your constituents to find your way into the hallow chamber. I blame the sys that made you.
@deltaneagle: even with your plenty degrees, the sentence no flow….na wao Oga PhD
@YglassSp: This one dey fine appointment after losing election in small Osun
@dayo_Williams: See this MAN that failed to win a senatorial second time seat gaslighting a long-time vice president that is still much relevant in today’s polity. You were still a nobody when Atiku had been making rounds in Nigeria.
@Davardad: Lmao, same assumed bitterness following You since Osun people sent you away 😂😂 wait till 2027 for another defeat
