Osun United will today, Sunday trade tackles with Dynamite Force FC in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) which enters Week 7 with the aim of defeating ‘Bernard’s’ Boys at their backyard in Iyamho to reclaim its second position in Group B1 Southern Conference.
The ‘Omoluabi Giants’ who have garnered 4 points on the road this season following a victory in Lagos over Stationery Stores and a one all draw against Go Round in Omoku are battle ready to coast home another away point at Iyamho against one of the privately owned clubs in the Nigeria League.
The two teams met in the inconclusive NNL season in December 2019 where Victor Okeji’s lone strike detonated the Dynamite, who hardly got a few attempt in the game dominated by the hosts at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
However, the two sides have dropped points in their respective home matches this season. While Osun United were held to a one all draw by the visiting Nnewi United in the Week 2 fixtures, Dynamite have been pegged back twice this season in Iyamho losing 4 points to Vandrezzer FC and Giant Brillars.
While Osun United are occupying 2nd position on the Group B1 log with 11 points after Week 6 fixtures, ‘Bernard Boys’ are sitting 8th, 2 points above the relegation zone.
The match will kick off 4pm at the Edo State University Sports Complex, Iyamho, Edo State and the live updates can be followed on Osun United Twitter handle, @osununitedfc
