‎A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator Felix Ogunwale, has dismissed rumours of division within the newly formed structure of the party, insisting that there is no animosity among its members.

‎Speaking at an ADC rally held on Tuesday at Olonkoro, Osogbo, the former lawmaker said the differences in opinion and preferences among members should not be mistaken for internal conflict.

‎“You may be thinking that the newly formed party is divided into two — no, that’s not the case. There is no animosity among us,” Ogunwale stated.

‎He explained that what appeared as disagreement was merely a reflection of individual choices and political interests, particularly regarding preferred presidential candidates ahead of the party’s primaries.

‎“What really happened is that I may have my preferred person as president, and another member may have theirs too. Naturally, that can bring about some controversy.

‎“But once we have our primary election, we’ll all be unified again. There’s no animosity whatsoever among us — our choice of leaders is just different”, he said.

‎Ogunwale expressed optimism that the ADC would emerge stronger and more united after its primaries, adding that internal democracy and mutual respect remain the core principles guiding the party’s leadership and operations.

‎He urged party supporters to remain focused on the ADC’s vision of credible governance, inclusiveness, and progressive leadership, assuring them that the party would soon unveil strategies to strengthen its base across Osun State and beyond.
