State of Osun chapter of the All Progressives Congress has stressed that the party unity is not under threat of any form over gubernatorial ambition of any party member.
The chairman of the party, Mr. Gboyega Famodun said this while addressing journalists after a welcome rally held for President Muhammadu Buhari at Ilesa, State of Osun.
The scores of the party faithful converged at Ita-Balogun and terminated the rally at Idi-Ose market, Okesa in Ilesa.
Policemen and the officers of FRSC were present at the rally to prevent breakdown of laws. Some of the members were armed with placards while some were leaping and shouting with a sense of euphoria.
Famodun who was represented by the State Treasurer, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji said, “The party has not lifted the ban placed on the political campaign in respect to 2018 governorship election. There is no division in our party, we are strongly one.
“The executives of the party are one, from the ward executives down to the state level.
“Recently, we held our Congress for the national delegate that would represent us at Abuja, there wasn’t any faction, nobody claimed that they have different ideology or perspective about our agreement. We have one list across board in all the local government in the state.
Azeez also urged the party members to pray continually for the President in order to fulfill the dream he had for the country and also admonished that members should think deeply so that they won’t be mislead by anybody.
