Players and officials of Ikorodu City FC were on Sunday held hostage by Shooting Stars fans following their encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The Oga Boys held Shooting Stars to a 0-0 draw in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 32 fixture.

The visitors’ team bus was reportedly vandalized by Shooting Stars fans after the game.

It also took the intervention of the police to stop the fans from gaining access to the dressing room.

They were held at the stadium for at least two hours after the game and were escorted out by military officials.

The NPFL is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
