NPFL: Sunshine Coach Udi Aims AT Winnning Against MFM In Akure

Sunshine Stars head coach, Duke Udi , says his side will be all out seeking a win in today’s Nigeria Professional Football League rescheduled matchday-nine fixture against MFM FC in Akure

The Owena Waves are currently sitting at the bottom of  the table and must win the tie to enhance their fight against the drop.

MFM rode Sunshine Stars over  last season beating their host 1-0 at the Akure Sports Complex courtesy of a Stephen Odey goal and recorded a 2-1 win against same opponent in the reverse fixture at the Agege Stadium in what was Udi’s first game in charge of the team.

“Victories in our next two games will be a huge one for us but we are thinking of just the next game now,” Udi told the club’s official website.

“We will be out to play for a win though I know MFM are a good side with a good coach in Fidelis Ilechukwu, and playing in the CAF champions league give them experience and maturity.

“They have good players that retain information during play and very efficient on the ball too, so we must deny them time and space. We respect them, but not scared of any side as always and I can tell you, my boys are ready and we know a win will restore confidence.”
