As part of the mission of NYSC Community Development Group to contribute to the growth of its society, the Gender Community Development Service Group of Osogbo local government has promised to spread the awareness and tackle domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking and injustice in the community of Osogbo.
President of the CDS group Fatima Pai, 2017,said “The group doesn’t have a past record or achievement because it is a new CDS group which was created during the 2017 batch A, stream 1 set.
She hereby disclosed the group’s goal as to spread the awareness on gender related issues such as child trafficking, Rape, child labour, domestic violence, child abuse and to also break the silence of victims going through any of these issues in order to be the voice for the voiceless and give hope to the oppressed.
Fatima added that letters have been written to various schools within the community to sensitize them on these gender related issues and on the part of the parent, the group has decided to visit various markets to discuss and enlighten the people on same issues.
