NYSC Releases 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Timetable
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the timetable for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course, with activities set to begin nationwide on April 22.
The scheme made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs Caroline Embu.
According to the statement, the three-week orientation exercise will take place simultaneously in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
NYSC said the orientation camp would open with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on April 22, while registration would close at midnight on April 24.
The scheme added that the swearing-in ceremony would also be held on April 24, signalling the official commencement of orientation activities across the country.
It stated that the exercise would come to an end on May 12, after which corps members would move to their various places of primary assignment.
The scheme advised all prospective corps members to travel safely to their respective orientation camps and comply with all safety measures.
It also warned against travelling at night, urging participants to prioritise their security while heading to camp.
“Prospective corps members are advised to break their journeys once it is 6.00 p.m. and pass the night at any available lodge or secure location nearby.
“They are to continue their journeys the following morning,” Embu said.
NYSC said the warning was necessary to ensure the safety of participants throughout the orientation period.
