OAU Agog As Muslim Faithfuls Celebrate Eid-El-Fitri On Campus
The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) was alive with celebrations as Muslim faithfuls marked Eid-el-Fitri.
The Muslim Faithfuls in their hundreds gathered at the mosque to observe the Eid Prayer.
While addressing the congregation, the Chief Imam of OAU Muslim Community, Alhaji Abefe Sanusi, emphasized the importance of Ramadan in shaping the spirituality of a Muslim. He urged the muslim faithfuls to imbibe the lessons gotten during the month of Ramadan in their daily life. He further encouraged them to assist the Government with their prayers, rather than raining curses on them.
Speaking on the significance of the occasion, Abdul Rahman, a final year student at OAU, remarked, “Eid Fitri is a time of joy, forgiveness, and unity for Muslims worldwide. It’s heartwarming to see our campus come together to celebrate this auspicious day.”
The atmosphere in the university was filled with joy as students and staff participated in the Eid prayer, marking the end of Ramadan.
Students flooded the OAU Central Mosque Of Unity grounds, exchanging warm greetings and embracing the spirit of the occasion.
Additionally, the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, OAU organised an hang out for the Muslim students. The Muslim students were seen engaging themselves in different games of their choice.
The games featured at the hang out includes, Table Tennis, Football, Chest and lot more.
