OAU Campus Deserted As Students Conclude First Semester Exams

The campus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, which was once a bustling hub full of academic activity now lies tranquil, with only a few stragglers traversing the pathways as students complete their first semester exams.

It was learnt that some students left for their respective destinations immediately after their final exam as they emerged from lecture halls and examination centers with a mixture of relief and exhaustion etched on their faces.

It was gathered that the initial exam time table which was sent by the school management indicated that the exam will end on the 9th of March but due to some reasons, the school management later extended the exam time table by a week.

OSUN DEFENDER reported that the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University released the new first semester exam timetable on Friday 2nd February 2024.

One of the students of the institution, Adegbite Mudathir noted that writing the exams at this trying period in which cost of living is becoming unbearable was very difficult but thanked God he was able to sail through.
