OAU Loses Final Year Student

The Faculty Of Pharmacy, Obafemi Awolowo University on Thursday lost a final student of the faculty.
This was made known through a release from the Public Relations Officer of both Pharmaceutical Muslim Students Society Of Nigeria(PMSSN) and Pharmaceutical Association Of Nigeria Students, OAU Chapter.
The name of the deceased is Mr Abidoye Yusuf Segun.
According to the information made to our newsmen, Late Abidoye Yusuf was on Monday ill and was reported to the health centre of the institution.
He was later transferred to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital(OAUTHC) from where he was referred same day to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital, Ile-ife.
He was however managed there till he gave up by 9am on May 17,2018.
Reacting to the death of his colleague and friend, Drug Free Club President, Mr Akanmu Oluwasanya , said ‘’ You exuded a unique strength I never knew where it came from. Always smiling and making others smile.
He further added that the loss of his friend is a void he doesn’t know how it will get filled.
Speaking with our correspondent , the President of the Pharmaceutical Association Of Nigeria Students(PANS),OAU Chapter, Mr Ojelabi Jesujoba, said the death is a shock to the Ife pharmacy students at large as the late student is loved by students especially his efforts to the sport life of pharmacy students.
A report from the Dean, Faculty Of Pharmacy, Prof. Erhun Wilson, obtained by our correspondent stated that the interment of the late student takes place at the University’s Cementery before 4pm today (Friday) according to Islamic rites.
