OAU Student Declared Missing
A Part II student at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Olaniran Mubarak, has been declared missing.
This was disclosed in a message circulated among various groups by concerned students of the institution.
It was gathered that Mubarak left his hostel around 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, intending to travel to his parents’ home in Olode Village, Ife. However, he has not been seen since then.

Speaking with Osun Defender, Abdullah Olarewaju, a friend of the missing student, confirmed that the case has been reported to the police.
“I already called someone to verify, and they said he was supposed to be home yesterday within 30 minutes of speaking to someone at his house, but he’s nowhere to be found as of now,” Abdullah said. “It has been reported to the police.”
Speaking with Osun Defender, the spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, SP Yemisi Opalola, said she has not been briefed about the incident.
