Following the announcement of Professor Simeon Bamire as the new Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, protest has rocked the the institution.
Some Ife indigenes, under the aegis of Ife town and gown, had requested that a qualified Indigene should be appointed as Vice-Chancellor.
The protesters in their numbers reiterated that no one will be allowed into the campus tomorrow as the entrance of the school has been locked by the aggrieved people.
Speaking at the ground, one of the protesters, Bimbo Afolayan said no one would be allowed into the campus tomorrow (friday).
As at the time of filing this report, the protesters have caused gridlock, in and out of the university.
