Godwin Obaje, Ifeanyi Ubah’s striker has been ruled out of the club’s next two games in the Nigeria Professional Football League due to a knee injury. He would miss games against against MFM FC and Wikki Tourists.
Obaje came on as a substitute in the 25th minute of the Anambra Warriors’ 2-0 win against Kwara United on Sunday after opening the score for his team two minutes into the game. This marks his third goal tally in the campaign.
The Nnewi club who have depended heavily on his goals this season, will now have to deal with his absence in their next games in Lagos and Ilorin.
“It’s a minor injury but I won’t play our next two games against MFM FC and Kwara United,” Obaje confirmed in chat with CSN.
“I’m disappointed as the two games are away from home and I won’t be there to help the team.
“The positive is that it is not a long term injury and I hope to be back as earlier stated
