Obasi To Undergo Second Trial With Bolton Wanderers ‎

Free agent, Chinedu Obasi, is expected to feature for Bolton Wanderers’ U-23s against Crew Alexandra tonight  (Monday) as he hopes to get a contract with the club.

Obasi, 31, who scored against Burnely in his first trial last week which ended 1-0, is on the lookout for a new club after leaving Swedish side, AIK.

Bolton, Obasi will become teammates with former Newcastle forward, Sammy Ameobi if he is contracted by Bolton.

Bolton’s U-23s are looking to consolidate their position at the top of the Professional Development League North table.

While in Germany, he played for Schalke and Hoffenheim before joining Chinese club, ShenzhenSh

Obasi whose career has been affected by injury, was a member of the Flying Eagles squad that won silver at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup in the Netherlands.

He was also part of the U-23 Eagles that won silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

He also made the Super Eagles squad to both the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
