The Chairman, Obokun East LCDA, Hon. Lekan Omole-led administration has embarked on series of developmental projects across the council Area.
According to a statement by the council’s Information Officer, Mrs Lawal Fatimoh, virtually all towns and villages within the council area have enjoyed the dividend of democracy in one way or the other, particularly in the area of developmental projects.
The statement said, within the short stay in office of the council boss, he has rehabilitated Odole/Anaye road in Imesi-Ile, Maternity Centre at Esa-Odo, established and constructed open market stalls at Esa-oke.
Other achievements, the statement added, is the extensive and regular grading of earth roads in the council area, procurement of drugs to all health facilities across the LCDA, repair of some damaged motorized boreholes, as well as evacuation of refuse in all major towns and cleaning of all blocked drainages across the council area.
The statement also mentioned that the fencing of Otan-Ile market and construction of staff quarters for medical staff at Ilare were underway.
While noting that several other people-oriented programmes are in pipe line as soon as the economy of the council improves, it added that staff welfare has not been left out.
He then charged the people of the council area to contribute their quota by paying taxes and other development levies as and when due.
