The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission has fixed Saturday, November 16 2024 as the date to hold local government elections in the state.
The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Mr Babatunde Osibodu, disclosed this in a statement signed by him and made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
Osibodu said, “Thursday, August 8, 2024, is scheduled for the release of guidelines for the conduct of the elections and stakeholders meeting while campaigns by the political parties begin on Friday, August 9.
“The political parties are also scheduled to hold their party primaries between Monday, August 26 to Monday, September 9, 2024”.
