…..She Fled To Avoid Husband’s Fury After Having A Miscarriage
The Ogun State Police Command has disclosed that it has found a pregnant woman, Rahemat Lateef, who was reported missing and due for delivery while on her way to the State General Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
Rahemat, who was believed to have been kidnapped, was never abducted, rather, she fled to Kwara State to avoid her husband’s fury after having a miscarriage.
According to DailyPost, Rahemat was frustrated due to repeated miscarriages and had fabricated the kidnapping story.
Osun Defender reports that her husband, Ogunbunmi Lateef, had reportedly receiving a WhatsApp message notifying him of his wife’s abduction by unknown persons.

Providing an update on the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Omolola Odutola, on Monday, said Rahemat was found in Kwara State with her father.
She stated that the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit had begun tracking her until she reappeared.
Odutola said, “Rahemat Lateef, who was reported abducted by her husband, was never kidnapped. Instead, she planned her journey to Kwara State to escape her husband’s wrath, following repeated miscarriages.
“She fabricated the story herself, travelled to Kwara State, and was far from being kidnapped. After experiencing a miscarriage and becoming frustrated due to its repeated occurrence, she feared her husband’s reaction and orchestrated the narrative. The Anti-Kidnapping Team had begun tracking her until she reappeared.
“She is now under medical attention and is safe,” she added.
