Dr Akin Ogunbiyi has commiserated with Tijaniya society in Osun State over the demise of Sheikh Abdulrauf Olododo, a spiritual leader of the Islamic group.
Paying tribute to the deceased, Ogunbiyi in a statement by his press secretary, Ismail Afolabi revealed that Shiek Olododo’s transition at his residence in Iwo had created a vacuum that would be hard to fill.
He identified with the Tijaniya society, his kinsmen and stakeholders across Iwoland on the irreparable loss and prayed for repose of the soul of the Shiek who passed on to the great beyond on Sunday.
“Many people in the world accept Islam and are known as Muslims, but not every Muslim completely abides by the rules of the religion. Shiek Olododo accepted Islam to its fullest.
“His death has created a vacuum. With pains but total submission to the will of Almighty God, we sympathise with Tijaniya society and every concerned individual on the exit of the distinguished scholar.
“We also pray for the repose of his soul and ask Allah, the Most Merciful to grant his family, Iwoland and Osun State, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
