Olajumoke Orisaguna, the former bread seller turned model, has expressed a strong desire to pursue education, stating that if she had been educated, she would not have been exploited by her former manager, Victoria Ekong.
Speaking at a press conference recently organized by The Cardinal Foundation, an initiative of Cardinal Broadcasting, Orisaguna recounted how Ekong took advantage of her lack of education and experience, financially exploiting her and withholding significant amounts of money earned from modeling jobs.
“I would love to be educated. I’m really interested in being educated because had I been educated, Victoria Remilekun Ekong wouldn’t have exploited me that much,” Orisaguna said.
Orisaguna alleged that Ekong would often deceive her about the amount of money she was paid for jobs, using the excuse that she needed to cover expenses such as transportation, feeding, and accommodation. On one occasion, Orisaguna claimed she was paid N200,000 after a trip to South Africa for a fashion show, while on another occasion, she received only N50,000.
According to her, “We traveled to South Africa for Soweto Fashion Week and we were paid huge but I don’t know the exact amount I was paid. She only told me its time to travel and and I was happy we are traveling out, we left. We came back and when she decided to share the money and how much we made in total, she said I will be the one to pay for the plane tickets, feeding accommodation and others, after all that she said there is no much hand all she gave me was N200,000.

“The second time we also traveled to South Africa, it was the same. She gave N50,000 and I collected it because I had no idea how I was paid. She always tell me that transportation, feeding and accommodation and I will oblige.
“I later realized she is not being helpful to me rather she was dragging me backward. For how long do I want to continue that way with two kids”, she stated.
Osun Defender reported that Orisaguna made a terrific comeback last week after the foundation, led by City FM’s Chief Executive, Mrs. Doja Allen, took her under its wing, providing her with opportunities to rebuild her life.
The foundation has enrolled her in City Media Academy, where she will undergo professional training in radio presentation, news production, and digital content creation. Upon completing her training, Orisaguna will be employed at City 105.1 FM and host a new talk show, Kilon Shele.
The foundation, who has been supporting Orisaguna, pledged her commitment to helping her recover from past exploitation.
