The Personal Assistant to the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Comrade Ishola Olateju has been honoured with Ewa Igbomina Excellence Award at the Ewa Igbomina Cultural Fiesta at Esie Museum, Kwara State.
Olateju received the award at the “1st EWA IGBOMINA CULTURAL FIESTA 2022.” The fiesta was organised by the Golden son’s and daughter’s of Igbomina land for propagating the culture of their father’s land across the globe.
Other awardees were Alh. Yinka Quadri, Alh Kazeem Adeoti (Adekaz Film), Muka Ray and Hon. Idowu Olomoh (K.S.I).
Speaking at the programme, a renowned Actor in Igbomina land, Alhaji Yinka Quadri, appealed to the traditional rulers of Igbomina land to give all the needed support to Ishola Olateju’s political ambition.
He added that, the award was in honour of Olateju professionalism and the impacts he has contributed towards the development of Igbomina land.
Alhaji Quadri, said Olateju is the most Suitable and accessible son of Igbomina Land for any political assignment.
According to him, “Olateju is the first and only person in the history of Igbomina Land to use the logo “OGBO-MONA” on all his outfits which made the organisers to find him worthy of promoting our heritage”
Olateju, in his remarks commended the sons and daughters of Igbomina land and all the traditional rulers for honouring him with the the award.
He promised that he will continue to promote Igbomina land and also facilitate all round development to his origin.
In attendance were eminent Traditional Rulers like, HRH. Oba Barr. Ismail Yahaya Atoloye Alebiosu (Olupo of Ajase Ipo), HRH Oba Alhaji . Yakubu Ibrahim Babalola (Elesin of Esie kingdom) among others.
