Olorunda LG Chairman Promises Dividends Of Democracy

The Chairman, Olorunda Local Government in the State of Osun, Hon. Hameed Munirudeen Anisu has promised the people of the local government dividends of democracy in a short time.

He gave the assurance during an interdenominational prayer session to kick start his administration recently.

He then solicited the support of everyone and promised that he would operate an open door policy, as useful suggestions would be welcomed to ensure the rapid development of the council.

In his own remarks, the Council Manager, Mr. Toyese Ogundiji said that the management would give this administration full support and maximum cooperation in order to spread the dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the council area.

Present at the prayer session were clerics, including, the Chief Imam of Gaji Mosque, Osogbo, Alhaji Fatai Adeyemi, and Chief Imam Of Ansarudeen, represented by Mallam Sarafadeen who recited verses from the Holy Qur’an to seek peaceful reign and successful tenure of his administration

Also in attendance were, a Christian cleric, Rev. Father Ben Adebiyi and a traditionalist, Chief Murtala Jekayinfa who prayed for the good beginning and good ending of the administration.

Others at the occasion were, the former included;of the local government, Alhaji Moshood Balogun; Chairman of the Elders’ Forum, Pa Lasisi Odebunmi; Secretary of the Elders’ Forum, Hon. Johnson Koledowo; Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorunda Local Government, Mr. Abiodun Kilanko, and APC women leader in the council, Mrs. Ibraheem Muslimot.

Others are Community Development Committee Chairman, Elder Oloyede J.F; APC Youth leader of the council, Mr Niyi Oladejo members of staff of the council and heads of the departments in the council secretariat.
