Prince Nurudeen Ademola Jimoh, one of the aspirants for the stool of Oludo of Ido-Osun, has dissociated himself from the controversy surrounding the Nigerian Police Force and the Chairman of Osun State Transport Management System, Nurudeen Alowonle.

The Prince, while addressing the issue, warned those attempting to implicate him in the matter to desist from such actions, emphasising that he acted within the law by reporting threats to his life.

Reacting to the arrest and shooting incident involving Alowonle, Prince Jimoh clarified that his actions were solely to protect himself and others after being threatened.

He stated that he had no choice but to alert law enforcement when his safety was at risk.

Recalling the events, the Prince and building contractor narrated how his office was attacked by Alowonle and his associates. “I couldn’t have waited before i was killed before I act. No! I was in my office on Sunday evening with my staff and some of my friends when we were attacked and my office complex and car were destroyed. And if not for the intervention of the Nigerian Air force personnel from their Oke Baale base and police from Oja Oba division, who came to rescue us, only God knows what would have happened to us.”

He further expressed concern over attempts to link his name to the altercation between the Nigerian Police and Alowonle, describing such moves as suspicious and agenda-driven.

“And if some rouble rousers are dropping my name over what transpired between the Nigerian Police Force and OSTMS Chairman, Nurudeen Alowonle, then they have a hidden agenda” he added

Prince Jimoh questioned why his decision to follow lawful procedures was being criticized. “Did they expect me to engage in a reprisal attack? Never in my life would I disturb public peace,” he declared.

He reaffirmed his commitment to law and order, urging detractors to focus on facts rather than fabrications.
