The Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo on Tuesday, declined an oral prayer from Odunolu Oluronbi and Oluyeyin royal families seeking to stop the state government from filling the vacant Olufon stool.
Osun Defender reports that the Oluyeyin royal family and Odunolu royal family had approached the court to seek for an injunction to restrain the osun state government from continuing the process of installation of the new Olufon of Ifon.
Justice Ayo Oyebiyi while declining the order recalled the granting of several orders on the same subject matter.
He noted the absence of representatives of other interested parties in the matter in court as a major reason for declining the order.
The court later adjourned to October 12th, 2023 for further hearing on the matter.
