Omeruo: Serbia Loss Showed Our Weakness

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo says the loss to Serbia in Tuesday’s international friendly has opened up where the tteam has to work very hard on head of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Omeruo only played 35 minutes of the game in the Super Eagles 1-0 win over Poland in Wroclaw and was an unused substitute in their 2-0 defeat defeat by Serbia at the Hive stadium.

“It has exposed where we need to improve on. It was not a bad game entirely,”Omeruo told CSN.

“I believe we will be better before the World Cup in Russia.”

Omeruo who has made 35 international appearances for the Super Eagles is expected to feature for Kasimpasa when they face Goztepe on Sunday in a Turkish Super Lig clash.

“The international break is over and I’m looking forward to the next one in May but now I return back to help my team win on Sunday.”

The 23 year old has made 22 league apprearances.
