Omisore’s Endorsement: Fresh Crisis Hits SDP In Ile Ife

As the Osun governorship election is fast approaching, fresh crisis has hit the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ile Ife.

This is as the party has been divided following a controversial meeting held at Omisore’s house in Ile Ife.

The executives and some top members of the party in Ile Ife were reported to have endorsed Senator Iyiola Omisore as the party’s governorship candidate for the upcoming election.

But few days after the meeting, some top leaders of the party and members washed their hands off the resolution, saying they are no more in support.

They said some executives of the party have collected an undisclosed huge amount of money from Omisore without their interference with the sole aim of getting the full support of all members to endorse Omisore as their candidate.

While the fate of party members have been left undecided, those who seem not to be in support of Omisore’s ambition are facing threats to their lives.
