The Omoluabi Mortgage Bank has concluded its two week Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Youth Empowerment Programme tagged “OMB Plc CSR 2017”.
The programme which kicked off on November 22, 2017 at Ideal Nest Hotel, Osogbo, Osun State started with a welcome address from the CFO, Mr. Olusola Levi who reiterated that entrepreneurs rule the global economy, charging participants to think outside the box.
In his words: “Whatever you want to do, do differently even though others are engaged in it and put that extra in the ordinary to make it extra-ordinary”.
The participants were classified into groups of; Agribusiness, Event Planning and Management, Confectioneries and Catering Services, Print designs and Branding, as well as Soap and Detergent Making.
At the Grand finale on December 8, 2017, the Managing Director, Omoluabi Mortgage Bank Plc, Mr. Ayodele Olowookere while presenting Certificates of Participation to participants and facilitators, charged them to ensure that they put to use what they have learnt during the training and never allow anything to limit them.
The height of the evening came when cheques were presented by Mr. Olowookere to the top three participants who distinguished themselves in the training.
The first placed, Mr. Olawale Olaniyi Abdulwaheed was awarded a cash gift of N70,000; the second placed, Miss Awujoola Ebunoluwa was presented a cash gift of N55,000 and third placed, Mr. Salami Gafar was presented a cash gift of N50,000.
For the participants, it was a life changing experience, as they requested for more of such programmes in the years to come.
Some of the participants commended the bank for its initiative in organising such an elaborate programme with high standard.
