Omoluabi Progressives Women Meet In Oyan

As part of efforts to mobilise women into the Omoluabi Progressives caucus of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the women wing of the group met on Thursday in Oyan, Odo-Otin local government of the state, for their monthly meeting. 

Led by Hon. Adeoye Olusola, popularly called California, the women wooed their gender in the local government to join the caucus, describing it as a platform for genuine progressives. 

The women first paid homage to the Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Kilani Adekeye, where they were received by Chief Adewale Adetunji, the Asoju Oba of the Oyan kingdom.

The leader of the Omoluabi Progressive caucus in the local government, Prince Jide Zubair, welcomed the women politicians.

Addressing hundreds of representatives of the caucus from the 15 wards of the local government, Olusola told the women to mobilise for the group and maintain the Omoluabi ethos. 

Olusola enjoined the women to embrace any individual who showed interest in joining the caucus, saying “Let us also embrace the IleriOluwa members into our caucus, they are coming in large numbers.”

She lauded the leadership of the Omoluabi Progressives in the local government for welcoming them, just as she charged them to continue to spread the gospel of the caucus to the grassroots.

In his special message, Zubair described the visit of the state leadership of the women’s wing of the caucus as much needed to encourage other members.

He maintained that despite the shenanigans of the APC leadership, former governor Rauf Aregbesola remains his leader, whom he will continue to be loyal to. 

Zubair thanked all women of APC who are loyal to Aregbesola in Odo-Otin local government, appealing to them not to stop mobilising their gender into the caucus.

Earlier, the coordinator of the caucus in Odo-Otin local government, Mrs. Adesoye Aderonke, while introducing the caucus to Oba Adekeye at his palace, said the Omoluabi Progressives is a group of virtuous members of the APC in the state.
