Omoyeni Faith: Friends, Relatives React To Death Of OAU Student

Scores of friends and relatives have expressed shock at the demise of Omoyeni Faith Bukunmi, a 200-level student of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, from Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts who passed away on Monday, 4th September, 2023 due to an undisclosed illness.
It was learnt that the deceased was said to have been battling the undisclosed illness for two weeks before she gave up at the University College Hospital, Ibadan on Monday Afternoon.
Speaking to OSUN DEFENDER in separate interviews, friends and relatives of the deceased lamented the death of their colleague.

“To me she very intelligent, hardworking and suppose future leader for her gender. She’s responsible in character and dressing. I met her for the first time in one of our lectures in d 1st semester dressed corporate in white and black like law student.
I told her how much I cherished her mode of dressing and composure.
“We exchanged phone number and I told her I will be going back to Ado for an assignment that I will call her Incase of any assignments and note. She didn’t take my calls, I challenged her later when I came back that do you think I’m looking for girlfriend or what? Even if that was my mission you should have atleast respond to my calls and that was how we became friends. She introduced her graphics design skills with samples. I encouraged her and promised to do business with her soon.” – Ogefila

“She was the type of girl who minds her business, she’s as quiet as anything you could relate with. She’s a jovial person, friendly and also helps people who seek her help. Doesn’t trouble anyone for anything, playful ? intelligent and also wanting to make change to whatever needed change. When it comes to learning, she’s always ready to learn and you can always tell in her whenever she’s serious or wanting to play. Never misses class, she would always show up at any lecturer’s teaching. So sad for me to hear she’s no more, for she still have life to live ahead of her.” – Samuel

“Faith, in my own thinking tho you know we’re not that close but she was someone during her lifetime that was not too attached to many people but have everyone in mind, she was someone that was not too open to others,she rather keep it to herself
Faith is beautiful,well reserved(in the sense that she seems distant to others but if moved closed to,you won’t want to loose her cos she was a rare gem),decent in dressing and respectful.She was someone that kept on face a giving and charming smile even when distressed,you won’t know she is in pain,she gives the vibe of a good friend
I even envy her good sense of humor sometimes,her legible handwriting,her silent killer way of thinking(you won’t know she is brilliant and intelligent unless she talk or teaches you things. She was a talented human and endowed with many things.” – Titilayo

Omoyeni Faith? She was a really a verygood person.She had a really nice heart?She was godly,reserved,respectful,caring,kindhearted and smart.I believe she was gifted to be a therapist. She was a kind of person one could open up to and feel less burdened ?She was always optimistic and prayerful. She was an awesome person to be with.
