Ondo Businessman Kills Wife, Commits Suicide

After allegedly killing his wife in Akure, the state capital, an Ondo-based businessman, Sesan Adelabu, has reportedly committed suicide.

The incident was reported to have occurred at Alagbaka GRA in Akure metropolis.

Although details of the incident remained sketchy, unconfirmed sources according to Vanguard news, alleged that the socialite caught his wife in bed with one of his security guards.

The victim reportedly macheted his wife to death and, after that, committed suicide by drinking an insecticide.

While the socialite died inside his toilet after drinking the insecticide, his wife’s lifeless body was left on their marital bed.

According to sources, the deceased husband has a chain of business investments, including petrol stations in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Their corpses have been deposited at the Akure General Hospital.

The state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident when contacted.

Odunlami said that the socialite murdered his wife and thereafter committed suicide by drinking sniper.

The police spokesperson added that police detectives have started their investigation into the matter.
