Contrary to the earlier date announced and reported by Osun Defender, the Ondo State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Akure, will today deliver judgement in the petition filed by candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede, against the victory of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the October 2020 gubernatorial election.
Justice Umar Abubakar, the Chairman of the three man panel had earlier announced April 23rd, 2022 to deliver the judgement before this change of date.
However, in another notice issued on Monday evening by the Tribunal Secretary, parties involved in the case were informed that the date has changed to Today, Tuesday, April 20.
The notice also said that the judgement would not be delivered in the usual court sitting but will be delivered via ZOOM.
